For several years now, my wife and I had contemplated building a Granny Flat for extra income, not just an add-on box, but a small house that blended in with our existing home.

 

 

We researched a number of companies in Sydney and found many Granny Flats to be the “off-the-shelf” type & low quality. We have quite an unusual shaped block, so we needed one that was “not-so-square”. We were quite disappointed really until we came across Elaine, what a high energy & efficient lady, we couldn’t recommend her more highly.

 

 

We loved too, that their chosen building material is insulation panels that also keeps down the energy bills. We loved that, especially as we’re moving towards our retirement years, with the cost of power continuing to go up.

 

 

Upon first meeting Elaine, we found her to really listen to our needs, as well as offering suggestions that we might consider in the building process. We were certain at this point that we had made the right choice.

 

 

Elaine works with a team of subcontractors that were both professional and enjoyable to work with, in the construction of our 60sqm 2 Bedroom “yard home”, as we call it.

 

 

Elaine was hands on every step of the way, frequently visiting to check the progress and the quality of workmanship. She did not hesitate to call us for clarification and updating us. Phone calls too were promptly returned, so we felt very comfortable.

 

 

Even 2-3 weeks after completion, she came out to visit, to make sure that we were still happy and if there was anything else she could do. This blew us away. We were, and still are extremely happy, what a rewarding and satisfying experience.

 

 

Recommending Elaine & the Spark Homes Team, goes without saying & seeing our fussy granddaughter has moved into the yard house now, not what we had originally planned, but it says volumes about Spark Homes.

I as a builder have dealt with many suppliers of  kit homes over the 25 years and in my experience the stand out ones are those who deliver timely and excellent personal service at competitive prices. Really good ones are few and far between but I would say that Elaine at Homes  has impressed me and certainly meets this criteria.

 

The company strengths are great communication on what and when things are happening, understanding the clients requirements and then most of all supplying high quality Insulated Kit homes designed to building codes.

 

The other area that Elaine at Spark Homes  has impressed me with her  rapid response when any issue occurs or modifications to the building are requested. Nothing has been a problem and we are extremely happy to continue to work with this company in the future.
